UNCG Auditorium
The UNCG Auditorium is a 1,642 seat proscenium-style theatre. The building was completed in 1927 with seating for 2,288. In 2008, UNCG auditorium underwent a $19 million dollar renovation which added improved acoustics, more leg room for patrons, and a double-lift orchestra pit. The hall is used for musical productions, operas, symphonies, ensembles, University Concert and Lecture Series, faculty and guest dance performances, and various other performing arts events.
UNCG Auditorium is located on the corner of Spring Garden and Tate Street. UNCG Auditorium is handicapped accessible and also features hearing-assistance listening devices.

Parking
Parking is available in unreserved spaces in the Tate Street Parking Lot between Spring Garden and Lee Streets. Please do not park in spaces reserved for the Weatherspoon Art Museum. For weekday, daytime shows, parking is also available off of Tate Street and surrounding streets.

Musician, Composer, Bandleader, Educator and Activist Roxy Coss has become one of the most unique and innovative saxophonists on the scene. Winner of a 2016 ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award, the Downbeat Critics' Poll listed her as a "Rising Star" on soprano saxophone the past five years in a row, and a Downbeat Magazine review called her "an exceptional young talent." Originally from Seattle, Roxy has been a fixture on the New York scene for over ten years. She has headlined extensively around the world, including major festivals and venues like the Newport Jazz Festival, Melbourne Big Band Festival, San Jose Jazz Summerfest, Ballard Jazz Festival, The Jazz Standard, and Jazz Showcase, among others.

Come see the dynamic story of the love of Dido, the Queen of Carthage, for the Trojan hero Aeneas and her despair when he abandons her. Dido is Purcell's only real opera and an important work in the scope of Baroque Opera.
