John Gulley (Director)
John Gulley (Director) teaches acting and directing at UNCG. At UNCG, John has most recently directed The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, St. Joan, and As You Like It. He’s also directed Off-Broadway and for a number of regional professional theatres. John received his BA in Theatre from Wake Forest and his MFA in Directing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Frances is a third year Theater Education major from Asheville, NC. She previously worked as an assistant stage manager for UNCG Production of UNCG. She is incredibly excited for you to see this hilarious production that stands the test of nearly 355 years.

Tom is a Sophomore Acting major with minors in Music and Philosophy out of Birmingham, AL. He is thrilled and humbled to be in his first mainstage production at UNCG. He would like to thank his mother, Beth, for her continued support of his education and creative pursuits, the cast, crew, and creative team for such an enjoyable experience, and his friends for making it all worth doing.

Keagan Cook (Laurant) is a first-year BFA Acting Major with minors in Media Studies, Radio, and Dance at UNC Greensboro. He grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. Tartuffe is his first non-showcase main stage performance at UNCG. He is beyond excited to work with such talented people and is excited to learn from every one of them!!!! Besides acting Keagan is a frequent enjoyer of K-POP and you can often find him boogie-ing down to his favorite New Jeans song (Ditto!)

Rory is a second-year BFA design and production student with a concentration in sound, with a secondary focus in costumes. He has worked on shows such as Galatea or Whatever You Be, Rock of Ages, and Night of the Living Dead in various production roles. His time at UNCG has brought many opportunities for growth and exploration within the realm of theatre. Outside of working on live productions, Rory enjoys knitting, books, and a good cup of tea.

Emily Gustafson is an MFA Actor originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. A graduate of Macalester College, she performed in her hometown with Wayward Theatre, Shakespeare & Company, The BAND Group, Six Elements Theatre, and more. Most recently, she has appeared in Night of the Living Dead, Roe, and Class at UNCG, and in Theatre Coup d’Etat’s adaptation of Julius Caesar as Octavius Caesar. She’s delighted and honored to be ending her time at UNCG with Tartuffe, and even more thrilled to add “saucy maid” to her theatrical repertoire. Huge thanks to her family, friends, and colleagues for their support and love!

Spencer Hamilton is an MFA Acting student originally from Southern Oregon.  He has called everywhere from the Pacific Northwest, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New York City home. At UNCG you have seen him in Class: A Devised Piece with Applied Mechanics, in The Passion of Antigona Perez, Night of the Living Dead, and is excited to close out his time at UNCG in this production of Tartuffe. Regionally, he has performed with companies such as PCPA Theatrefest, The September Players, and Lyric Rep. Some of his favorite roles include: Lord Pinkleton in Roger’s & Hammerstein’s Cinderella! (PCPA), Myron in Clifford Odets’ Awake & Sing! (Lyric Rep), and Carman Ghia in The Producers (Ross Ragland Theatre).  When not acting, he loves cooking and finding new techniques and recipes in Food Documentaries on Netflix.  He has a BS from Utah State Universities: Caine College of the Arts as well as being an alumni of PCPA-Pacific Conservatory Theatre’s 2-year Professional Acting Training program in Santa Maria, CA.

Brianna Hucke is a sophomore BFA acting major. This is her third mainstage show here at UNCG. She has played previous roles including Asha in Blood at the Root, a zombie in Night of the Living Dead, and chorus in The Passion of Antigona Perez. She is so grateful for this opportunity and everyone who has worked hard to bring this show to life. She would like to thank her family and classmates for all their support.

Ezra Lanphere is a Sophomore BFA Acting student who first starred in Western Piedmont Community College’s “Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play” and went on to perform as Ursula and Verges in Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.” Her most recent productions at UNCG include Alison in “I <3 Collaboration” as well as zombie in “Night of the Living Dead.” She would like to thank the cast, crew and everyone else involved in the production, as well as her friends and family members who love and support always. This has been a wonderful experience and she hopes everyone enjoys UNCG’s rendition of Molière’s “Tartuffe.”

Haley McLaurin
Haley “Lee” McLaurin (Assistant Director) 
Haley is a senior BA Drama major with minors in Spanish and Media Studies. This is their second time assistant directing for UNCG. Their past shows include Galatea: Or Whatever You Be (Diana/The Augur), The Passion of Antígona Pérez (assistant director), RENT (Mimi US/ Ensemble), and Wake Up Brother Bear (Autumn Sprite). Outside of the theatre, they love to cook, draw, crochet, make movies with friends, play dnd, and hang out with the best doggie in the world; Flower!

Madi Melton (Servant #1) is a senior BA Drama and Kinesiology major. She is seen in short films such as N’oublie pas de Vivre and Post It through UNCG’s Carmicheal Studios. This is her first show at UNCG since establishing her theatre major, and she is thrilled to perform on stage!

Cara Parks is the Paint and Prop Director for Tartuffe. Cara is in their third year here at UNCG and is a Des Tech major with a concentration in props. She was also the assistant scene designer/prop director for UNCG’s Into the Woods as well as an artisan on Rock of Ages and Andrew Lippa’s’ Wild Party.

Nathan Paukstelis (Monsieur Loyal) is delighted to act in one of history’s great farces! Born and raised in Manhattan KS before striking out to the Carolinas, he is a third year BFA actor who recently took on the role of Huck Finn at Stained Glass playhouse in Winston-Salem NC. You may also see him as Cam in the UNCG web series I❤️COLLABORATION.

Originating from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Liam’s journey led him to the U.S., initially fueled by a love for collegiate tennis and science. After securing a master’s degree in microbiology and gaining valuable lab experience, Liam took a bold leap into the realm of acting. Currently immersed in the pursuit of a Master’s in Fine Arts in Acting at UNC-Greensboro, Liam undergoes comprehensive acting training. He will graduate in May 2024 and envisions a future gracing both stage and film. Liam would like to thank his girlfriend Emily for traveling to come see the show!

Zoe Rossouw (Mariane) is so excited to be a part of Tartuffe!  Zoe is a senior BFA Acting major with a minor in History, and is involved with the Lloyd Disciplinary Honors College.  Previously, Zoe has been on the UNCG stage as Dr. Grimes in Night of the Living Dead, Actress Seven in ROE, Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Winter Sprite in Wake Up, Brother Bear!  Zoe would like to thank the cast and crew for being wonderful on this journey, and her friends and family for their endless love and support.  She hopes you enjoy the show!

Daniel E.K. Stargel (Orgon) is a 2024 MFA Acting candidate. Favorite regional credits include Adam/Noah, Children of Eden; Pharaoh, Joseph…Dreamcoat; Jerry, Full Monty; Emile de Becque, South Pacific; Mordecai, Queen Esther; Squire Whiting, Skin Deep; Dracula, Dracula (Dietz). Previous UNCG credits: Creòn, The Passion of Antigona Perez; Narrator/Mysterious Man, Into the Woods. His favorite roles, though, are husband to Rachel and dad to Eliana, Uriah, Elaisa, Adaleah, Amareya, & Michaela. Laura Stone is currently in her sophomore year pursuing a BFA Design & Technical Production degree with a concentration in stage management. She is excited to be working on her third production at UNCG. Her previous credits as an Assistant Stage Manager include Playmakers Reparatory Company’s production of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and UNCG’s productions of Roe and Into the Woods. Courtney Swank (Stage Manager) is a Senior BFA Design and Technical Production student with a concentration in Stage Management and Lighting. This is her first-time stage managing a UNCG production, and she couldn’t be happier! Her past UNCG productions include Electrician on Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party and Assistant Stage Manager on The Passion of Antígona Pérez and Into The Woods. She would like to thank everyone involved who made this production such a wonderful and joyful experience, as well as her family and friends for the never-ending love and support!
