MTAS Tutoring covers all undergraduate music theory and aural skills courses within the standard rotation required of all music majors and minors, including MUS 100, 101, 207, 215, 216, 305, 306 and MUP 204. If you are seeking help with other theory courses, please contact your instructor.

MTAS Tutors are vetted by Music Theory Faculty and can meet with students individually or in small groups. Sessions are limited to 1 hour, but students can meet with a tutor as often as they wish. In addition to tutoring in person, tutors may be willing to meet virtually, so be sure to specify this preference when booking your appointment!

In addition, tutors participate in MTAS Study Hall for weekly drop-in hours with no appointment necessary. Study Hall opens in the last half of the semester (after Fall and Spring Breaks) and students are welcome to come in for help from a tutor or just to work on homework! See the tutoring schedule in TracCloud or look for signs posted around the Music Building to see when and where to find Study Hall.

Hours of Operation:

Hours vary by tutor availability, possibly including evenings and weekends. If the times you need are not reflected in the TracCloud schedule, please contact MTASsupport@uncg.edu.
