Register Now for CVPA’s Summer Sessions

Want to learn more about web design? Dig deeper into the roots of rock and roll? Appreciate the finer points of dance? Now’s your chance!

In March, UNCG and the UNC System announced that all campuses would deliver Summer 2020 classes online only, to support the public health mandates for social distancing and the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. In keeping with that decision, the College of Visual and Performing Arts is offering a full slate of courses this summer, taught by faculty members in Art, Arts Administration, Dance, and Music.

CVPA Dean bruce d. mcclung says the number and types of courses show the commitment of the College to offer a meaningful experience for students:

“Even though we will be continuing to practice social distancing, CVPA has a great variety of online courses this summer. Because of demand, we have added a second section of ARH 112: ‘Survey of Non-Western Art.’ One of our new faculty members, Professor Kelley O’Brien, will be offering ART 344: “Digital Darkroom.” And in music, there are a few seats left in MUS: ‘History of Rock.’ The summer is a great time to earn some extra college credits and expand one’s horizons.”

The first session begins on May 13th and ends on June 18th, and the second session runs from June 18th through July 23rd. Some courses are offered for the full summer term and others take place during the middle five weeks.
Registration is open now.
