ITS has announced that Cisco’s WebEx is now available to faculty at UNCG. From the ITS announcement:

WebEx Training Center is UNCG’s new Synchronous Learning Management System (SLMS), and will replace the current SLMS (Blackboard Collaborate). Access to Blackboard Collaborate will end on 7/1/2016. Users who have recorded sessions in Blackboard Collaborate should convert and download them before this date.

This is an initial rollout of WebEx. Two other WebEx centers will become available to faculty and staff later this year, as plans and details are finalized.

Student access to WebEx Meeting Center will be provided through a separate environment at a later date. A separate announcement will be made when this environment is ready.

More information about WebEx, including support and training resources, is available at WebEx @ UNCG.

WebEx is an online collaboration suite web video conferencing solution that UNCG made available to faculty beginning in March 2016. The WebEx suite consists of four tools: Training Center, Meeting Center, Event Center, and Support Center. WebEx can be used as a stand alone video conferencing tool and also as an integrated tool within your Canvas courses.

Included below are support documents and documentation to aid in your use of WebEx. If you need additional support or wish to request a support document be added to this page, do not hesitate to contact Daniel Rice @ derice@uncg.edu.
