School of Art – Iron Pour and Steamroller Demonstration Event – April 20th
April 20 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
The School of Art invites everyone to join us on April 20, 2024 for an all-day Iron Pour and Steamroller Press event. This event will also feature many other areas within the School of Art including animation, ceramics, and photography.
Students will sell their artwork, scratch blocks for the iron pour, and commemorative t-shirts.
Greensboro’s own El Azteca’s Taco Truck will also be on hand from 11am – 2pm selling their delicious food.

💙💛APRIL 20th from 8am – 6pm 💛💙Free for everyone to attend💛💙
* 8am – 6pm Ground floor halls will showcase student work
* 10am – 4pm there will be a steamroller press printing demo in the parking lot
* 11am – 3pm – an Animation design competition in room 019
* 12:00pm – tours of the Gatewood Studio Arts will be offered starting in lobby
* 12pm – 4pm – Students will be selling art and showcasing club activities
* 12pm – 4pm – Scratch Blocks, a T-shirt sale outside room 017
* TBD – there will be glass working demos outside room 017 by the sandpit
* 1pm – 3pm – a ceramics demo will be offered in room 023
* 2pm – 3pm – a Cyanotype photography workshop will be offered outside room 019
* 4pm – 6pm – an Iron Pour will be demonstrated in the sculpture yard
* TBD – various music will be performed
