The reason why I chose this title was because my exhibition purpose was for the audience to relive their moment that they hold dearly to them and remake the objects that were present during that moment.

There are a variety of photographs in the exhibition. One of them is based on my culture. The photograph contains clothes I didn’t experience because I live in the United States until I went to Mexico and experienced them for myself. During my childhood my parents would have these clothes that they would wear in a certain month. It means a lot to my parents, but I never understood why. Another photograph in the exhibition is based on my personal life, how gender and sports make-up a big part of my identity. When I have these experiences, I end up writing down how I feel or what occurred on a little piece of paper and then put them on a mannequin.

In my work, I use something personal and share things that only some people can relate to. I wanted to try something new for this project. When I got into the history of performance art, it talks about how some people use certain things for their exhibition and that they use a lot of the audience to be part of their work by using their bodies or making them do certain things with directions. They follow those directions and participants start to notice personal things that are involved in the piece. I wanted to use that in part of my work, because I find it very interesting. 

For this piece, participants place important objects or clothes that represent a meaningful event or time in their life on a mannequin. This action allows participants to remind themselves of things that you often forget when you grow older. This project serves as a reminder of what you hold dear to you by remaking it.
