Dan (Melissa) Mao

Dan (Melissa) Mao is a PhD candidate and teaching assistant in choreography at Northeast Normal University. She holds a BFA from Northeast Normal University and an MFA from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro (2015). She is trained in ballet, contemporary dance, Chinese classical and folk dances, and has performed professionally with a variety of artists, nationally and internationally. As a choreographer, Dan has presented her choreographic work in North Carolina and in numerous venues in China including: Lotus Awards; National Dance Exhibition and CCTV Dance Word.
