COVID-19 has had a detrimental effect on the arts. Performances and exhibitions around the world have had to be shuttered. Here at the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA), our downtown art gallery—Greensboro Project Space—is closed, Spring Dances had to be shelved, the orchestra’s European Tour had to be canceled, and the curtain went down on Flyin’ West and Urinetown while still in rehearsal.
But the Spartan creative spirit is still alive. Our students and faculty continue to create, and we are happy to share their artistry with you. We are using this virtual space to share exhibitions and performances as a forum for the public dissemination of student, faculty, staff, and alumni work. From the largest and most comprehensive set of arts programs in the state of North Carolina, CVPA is happy to share creativity from our Schools of Art, Dance, Music, and Theatre with you.
So, sit back and enjoy art at a social distance.
