Isabelle Collazo

Isabelle Collazo is a Chicago-based dance artist and educator with a passion for dance and youth development. She holds an MFA in Choreography and K-12 Dance Licensure from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2019), where she presented her MFA thesis “Finding Carmen: Dancing the In-Between.” She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She has taught dance, yoga, and social emotional wellness in Chicago schools and community centers since 2011. Isabelle has worked with arts and wellness organizations including Chicago Public Schools All-City Dance Ensemble, The Chicago Ballet Center, River North Dance Chicago, Forward Momentum, Mindful Practices, and Jewish Community Centers. She studied dance in Taiwan, Germany, and France and in 2015, and participated in a six-month cultural exchange program in Yangzhou, China. She is a current member of the National Dance Education Organization and dance and the Child International Organization (daCi).
