Chelsea Hilding MFA, is an educator, researcher, and choreographer who specializes in progressive ballet pedagogy. Hailing from Brattleboro, VT, Chelsea served as the Resident Choreographer for the St. Augustine Ballet and Conservatory, company member of Jacksonville Dance Theatre, Artistic Director for Braided Light Dance Project, and owner of her own studio, Screen Door Dance Room. She is certified in Pilates through Balanced Body University, yoga, and Progressing Ballet Technique. She received her MFA in Choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she was a Graduate Teaching Associate and recipient of the College of Visual and Performing Arts Outstanding Graduate Teaching Associate award in 2022. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Dance Studies at Texas Woman’s University.
