Giving to the School of Arts

The School of Arts provides an immersive, enriching experience to our students, coupling our in-depth curricula with diverse experiences and encounters with art and renowned artists from around the country and the world. Artist workshops and campus visits, site visits to important venues for contemporary art, and programming and events outside the classroom provide our student artists with the rich experiences and contexts necessary to a developing artistic voice. In order to continue to provide a diverse, holistic arts education, we look to a key element of support – you. Whether you’re an alumnus, an institution, or just a lover and patron of the arts, your gifts of support are critical to our mission of engaging, educating, and elevating young artists.

The Gatewood Legacy Endowment was created to support and protect the Art education that distinguished alumna and artist Maud Gatewood (1954) enjoyed and promoted throughout her life and career. The Gatewood Legacy Endowment helps bring emerging and established artists to campus, supports travel to help expose Art students to vital art around the country and deepen their arts education, and provides special programming outside the classroom to help prepare students for vital and challenging careers in the field of visual arts.
