The Weatherspoon Art Museum, or Cone Building, is located on the corner of Spring Garden and Tate Streets. Each year it features group exhibitions, such as Art on Paper, individual visiting artist exhibitions, the MFA Thesis Exhibition and others. There are two lecture rooms where Art History and Criticism are offered: Cone 103 and Cone 107. Both rooms are located on the first floor.
The Gatewood Gallery (use IG link below) provides the UNCG School of Art with a publicly accessible professional contemporary art space. Curated and produced collaboratively by faculty and students, this space hosts national and international exhibitions, events, workshops, lectures, and classes.
To plan your visit, please contact the School of Art regarding upcoming exhibitions and viewing times.
