The School of Art strongly believes that our students need to be knowledgeable about art issues and contexts outside academia. In 1982, the School of Art began the Falk Visiting Artist Program with a generous endowment from Herbert and Louise Falk. With their support, the school has invited over eighty internationally and nationally known painters, sculptors, performance artists, photographers, video and intermedia artists to campus. Each Falk artist mounts an exhibition of their work, delivers gallery and artist’s talks, and engages in individual studio visits with each MFA student in the program.
