Founded by Morrie Backun in 2000 as a family-run instrument repair shop, Backun Musical Services has grown into an internationally recognized maker of clarinets and woodwind accessories. The company began when Morrie crafted a cocobolo barrel for Vancouver Symphony clarinetist Wes Foster and has since expanded its line to include barrels, bells, mouthpieces, and clarinets. Through innovative design, precision manufacturing, and expert craftsmanship, Backun continues its mission of “reinventing the clarinet one piece at a time.” 

B&F Repairs is a full-service band and orchestra instrument repair shop located in Greensboro, serving schools, colleges, and individuals across central and western North Carolina. With extensive in-house capabilities, flexible appointment scheduling, pickup and delivery options, and on-site service for minor repairs, B&F works to minimize the time musicians are without their instruments. Its technicians hold graduate degrees in music performance and bring both a musician’s and a repair technician’s perspective to every instrument they service.
