Emily Scotton, from Staley, NC, is an alumna of the UNCG School of Music. She is the UNCG Athletic Band Director and the band and chorus director at Eastern Randolph High School in Ramseur, NC, where her groups have excelled in performance competitions. Ms. Scotton previously served as the band director at Southeastern Randolph Middle School, also in Randolph County. She is well-known for her performances as a multiple woodwind artist and performs regularly throughout North Carolina. Ms. Scotton began working with the Summer Music Camp in 1999, and has served as the percussion coordinator and the coordinator of the student safety and health staff since 2005. A charter member of the UNCG SMC Hall of Fame, she will complete her 25th year with the camp this summer.
