Faculty artist Garrett Klein presents a recital highlighting the brilliance and versatility of the trumpet. An internationally recognized performer and educator, Klein serves as Associate Professor of Trumpet at UNC Greensboro and Principal Trumpet of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. He is recognized for his distinguished performing career and advocacy for new music.

The Abele Saxophone Quartet performs works by Mark Engebretson and Bob Reynolds, alongside world premieres by UNCG student composers Liam Deen, Chance Gatewood, Mariah McClammy, Ward Robinson, and Vincent Trotta. The quartet features Susan Fancher (Duke University), Rahsaan Barber and Heidi Radtke (UNC Chapel Hill), and Mark Engebretson (UNCG).
The UNCG Symphonic Band presents an exciting program exploring the many shades of light and color through contemporary and classic wind band music by Katahj Copley, William Latham, David Biedenbender, Gustav Holst, Jodie Blackshaw, and John Mackey.
The UNCG Symphony Orchestra opens its season with a program of orchestral masterworks from the American and European traditions. The concert features Copland’s vibrant "Hoe-Down" from "Rodeo," Gershwin’s iconic "Rhapsody in Blue" with faculty pianist Alessandra Feris, and Brahms’ monumental Symphony No. 1, a cornerstone of the symphonic repertoire.
The UNCG Wind Ensemble welcomes the GRAMMY® Award-winning Akropolis Reed Quintet, whose virtuosity, expressive range, and distinctive sound take center stage. Featuring works by Ida Gotkovsky, Charles Ives, Johann de Meij, and Matt Browne, the concert moves from fiery intensity and contemplative lyricism to vivid storytelling and infectious energy.
