Celebrating the Life and Career of R. Nathaniel Dett (1882–1943)
The UNCG Symphonic Band presents a program of works by Sally Lamb McCune, Gala Flagello, Charles Rochester Young, and Vincent Persichetti.
The Symphony Orchestra performs an exciting program bookended by Leonard Bernstein's dazzling Overture to "Candide" and Stravinsky's monumental suite from "The Firebird." Dr. Steven Stusek joins the orchestra for a performance of Debussy's evocative "Rhapsodie for saxophone and orchestra."
Jazz Ensembles I and II kick off the spring semester with a special concert featuring a kaleidoscope of guest vocalists! Songs by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and more delivered in the classic styles of Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole will delight your ears.
