Garth Fagan Dance Company
April 5, 2024 @ 8:00 pm

Garth Fagan Dance is rooted in African traditions, Caribbean stories, and the Black dance vocabulary Fagan Technique™. Garth Fagan Dance is founded by the man who taught more than a 100 million audience members to move as one global community through Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway!
Over decades, Garth used Fagan Technique to build a platform of social justice, creative leadership, and innovation to build community engagement and unique partnerships that reach audiences.
Celebrating 52 years in 2022, the company recently being welcomed into the “Archives of the Library of Congress”, has been referred to as a 20th Century dance treasure, and Garth as the longest running Black Choreographer on Broadway!

Purchase Tickets
* Tickets to CVPA and UCLS events are sold exclusively through our box office locations and ETix website, and nowhere else. Tickets purchased through third-party vendors cannot be honored.
In addition to public presentations, every artist in the UCLS series does important work with UNCG students, such as holding masterclasses and seminars, often just hours before performing on stage. Thanks to The Cemala Foundation, some of these artists also work with K-12 students in the Guilford County Schools.
