Adam Estes, baritone saxophone

Adam Estes is Professor of Music at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS where he teaches applied saxophone, coaches woodwind chamber ensembles, and teaches woodwinds methods courses. Prior to his work in Mississippi, he was Assistant Professor of Woodwinds at Minot State University. Formerly a band director in the public schools in Mason I.S.D. in Mason, TX, Estes has also held posts as Visiting Professor of Saxophone at Furman University, the University of South Carolina as well as Instructor of Saxophone at Presbyterian College and the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. Dr. Estes has been the principal bassoonist with the Western Plains Opera Company, the Minot Symphony Orchestra, and has been a regular substitute bassoonist and saxophonist with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, South Carolina Philharmonic, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and Augusta Symphony Orchestra. Furthermore, Estes is a founding member of the Assembly Quartet. He has recorded on Navona Records, Amp Recordings, MSR Classics, Albany Records, Mark Custom, and maintains an active performance schedule as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. His performing career has taken him to venues in Scotland, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Belgium. He holds graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Tarleton State University. His primary teachers have been Clifford Leaman, Greg Ball, Peter Kolkay, Carol Lowe, and Douglas Graham.Adam Estes is a Légère Endorsing Artist, Yamaha Performing Artist, and serves at the Region 6 Director of the North American Saxophone Alliance.

Award-winning pianist Dr. Monica (Hyebin) Song has performed throughout the United States and abroad since the age of thirteen. Recent highlights include recitals at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall), Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and Alma Mater Cultural Center in Korea, Teatro Auditorium Collegio Vescovile Barbargio in Italy, North Carolina Museum of Arts and concert tours in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Furthermore, her performance in the Tae-An Flood Relief Charity Concert was nationally broadcasted by the Korean Broadcast Station.Dr. Song earned her Doctorate and Master’s degree from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied under Natalya Antonova and Thomas Schumacher. She completed her Bachelor’s degree with Alexander Korsantia at the New England Conservatory of Music. She has previously served as a piano faculty at Meredith College Community School and Raleigh Community Music School and as an accompanist at Duke University, and Meredith College. She is currently on faculty at East Tennessee State University.
