The University of North Carolina School of Music is proud to provide a world-class education in music, nurturing our students’ artistic talents and putting them on a path to success in their future careers. We’ve created strong nationally recognized programs through our rigorous instruction, coupled with practical experience, learning opportunities with nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, conferences, field experiences, and so much more. Our scholarship and fellowship programs expand the reach of our programs, allowing underserved communities access to a world-class educational experience, and enriching the diversity of our student body and our programs.
To continue providing such rich, diverse and respected educational opportunities, we rely on the support of alumni, institutions and individuals to help fund our endeavors. The generosity of supporters allows us to provide dozens of scholarships and other funding opportunities to gifted aspiring artists and underserved student populations; helps underwrite travel and field experiences to expose our students to new styles, techniques and contexts in music; and helps support the technical and logistical needs of our student body.
A key means of supporting our students’ educational experience, dreams and ambitions is the Musical Arts Guild. This important organization has partnered with the School of Music for over 50 years to invest in the lives, education and futures of gifted and deserving student musicians and faculty at UNCG. The Musical Arts Guild is comprised of members from all walks of life, from alumni to friends to music lovers in the community. It provides much-needed support to students, faculty and our school, and helps support several merit- and need-based student scholarships each year. Membership is open to all, and entitles you to numerous special benefits, including concerts, recitals and other events year-round. Please consider becoming a member of this important support organization.
You can also help support our mission with a one-time or recurring gift through our secure online gifting portal or the School of Music office directly. We also offer Honorary and Memorial gifting opportunities, as well as Partners of the Arts Memberships.Give to the School of Music

Perhaps the easiest way to support our students and our mission is to attend UNCG School of Music performances. We offer a wide range of performances across diverse genres and styles throughout the year. You can access our Calendar of Events.
