If you’re interested in pursuing your education at UNCG’s School of Music, we invite you to visit our campus to get a true feel for everything we have to offer. A campus visit is a great way to experience student life and our learning environment. We recommend that in addition to exploring our beautiful campus, you make plans to visit the School of Music and experience our environment first-hand. We look forward to meeting you!
General Campus Visits
The webpage for UNCG’s Admissions Office contains great information on scheduling your visit. A Virtual Tour is available, as well as information about Campus Tours, Directions & Parking, exploring the Greensboro area, and more.
Overall campus life is only a part of the UNCG experience. We also recommend planning some time to come and view our facilities. We welcome prospective student visitors, and depending on space and time constraints, you may be able to sit in on classes or rehearsals, and experience the School of Music learning environment first-hand. Find out more from our contacts below:
Undergraduate Music: visit the Music Student Ambassadors page for more information on visits, including shadow days. We also offer an annual Open House for prospective undergraduate music students; you can find more information on this event below.

School of Music Open House
The faculty, administration, and students of the UNCG School of Music invite you to attend our annual Open House for prospective music students. The Open House will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 in the UNCG Music Building.
The Open House is a great way for you as a high school student to learn how the UNCG School of Music can turn your passion for music into a purpose for your career. You’ll experience a day in the life of a music student at UNCG, including the opportunity to visit a variety of classes, workshops and ensemble rehearsals, attend informational sessions about our degree programs, hear our exceptional students perform, and tour our world-class facilities.
