Bachelor of Music in Music Education
The UNCG music education program is one of the premiere music teacher training programs in the United States. Over 40% of undergraduate music majors attending UNCG are pursuing a degree in music education creating a community within the School of Music that strongly values music education. The music education degree prepares university students interested in teaching K-12 music in the public schools through vigorous preparation in music and teaching. Our program includes many opportunities to engage in field experience through internships with K-12 teachers and through community partnerships that engage young people in music learning. The music education faculty believe that all students should have access to music instruction, and we strive to create a variety of music teaching and learning opportunities for our students.
