HONORS JAZZ Band Info and Application Form
The UNCG Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program presents the 26th Annual Honors High School Jazz Band, November 23-24, 2024, with Peter Bernstein.
The two-day event consists of big band rehearsals, clinics, and improvisation master classes, and concludes with a performance by the Honors Band, renowned guitarist Peter Bernstein, and UNCG Jazz Ensemble I directed by Thomas Heflin.
High school aged North Carolina residents of all experience levels are encouraged to apply!
Hotel information and a detailed schedule of events will be provided once students receive notification that they have been selected. Thanks to our generous sponsors, there is no fee to apply or to participate. Saturday/Sunday lunch and Saturday dinner will be provided in our award winning dining hall. Students must be available from 9 am – 9 pm on Saturday November 23, and 9 am – 4 pm on Sunday November 24th. A separate letter of recommendation from a teacher is encouraged, but not required.
