The UNCG Opera Theatre presents Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, joined by students in the School of Music PopTech program, who will reimage some of Purcell’s melodies before the opera itself. Come see the dynamic story of the love of Dido, the Queen of Carthage, for the Trojan hero Aeneas and her despair when he abandons her. Dido is Purcell’s only real opera and an important work in the scope of Baroque Opera.
