    The Final Round of the Student Artist Competition is free and open to the public. Audience members are permitted to enter and exit the hall only between performers. The UNCG School of Music Student Artist Competition provides an annual forum for exceptional student performers to audition for the opportunity to appear in concert with the University Symphony Orchestra. Two to three student winners are normally selected for this honor.

    Celebrate the April 2023 release of the new Searchlight Pictures biopic CHEVALIER with special guest and Greensboro native violinist Ronald Long and the UNCG Strings Area. Long coached actor Kelvin Harrison, Jr. in the violin skills needed for the role of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, and recorded music for the film at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studio. Join us for a concert of music by Bologne (the Chevalier), William Grant Still, Florence Price, and other Black composers.
