The UNCG Symphonic Band presents an exciting program exploring the many shades of light and color through contemporary and classic wind band music by Katahj Copley, William Latham, David Biedenbender, Gustav Holst, Jodie Blackshaw, and John Mackey.
The UNCG Symphony Orchestra opens its season with a program of orchestral masterworks from the American and European traditions. The concert features Copland’s vibrant "Hoe-Down" from "Rodeo," Gershwin’s iconic "Rhapsody in Blue" with faculty pianist Alessandra Feris, and Brahms’ monumental Symphony No. 1, a cornerstone of the symphonic repertoire.
