Swing 46 is a Jazz and Supper Club in the heart of New York City’s Theater District where they say “you’ll find the most talented, professional musicians from all over the world with charts and arrangements that are impeccable and true to the genre we celebrate.” That was certainly the case on Sunday, March 4 when the UNCG Jazz Ensemble I took to the bandstand.
The group, directed by Chad Eby , played to a room full of UNCG alumni, friends and club regulars in New York after a concert in Washington, DC. The ensemble is
is regarded as one of the premier jazz ensembles in the nation, and the flagship of the Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program.
