Summary:

What happens when Shakespeare collides with superheroes in the heart of New York City? Pure magical mayhem. In Rough Magic, characters from The Tempest are hurled into modern-day Manhattan in a high-stakes, spell-slinging adventure where the fate of the city hangs in the balance. The villain? Prospero—an exiled sorcerer hellbent on reclaiming his stolen book of magic, even if it means unleashing chaos and destroying the city. Standing in his way? A hilariously mismatched band of heroes: Melanie Porter, a sharp-tongued dramaturg who can pull characters out of plays; Caliban, Prospero’s muscle-bound (and slightly clueless) son; Tisiphone, a vengeful Fury with a flair for the dramatic; and Chet Baxter, a teenage lifeguard with more guts than sense. Think Harry Potter meets the X-Men, with a dash of Shakespearean swagger. The magic is real. The danger is epic. And the drama? Off the charts.
