“Lincoln Sisters of Deckawood Drive” Bios and Headshots

Lizzy Brannan (Director) headshot

Lizzy Brannan (Director) is in her final semester of pursuing an MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is passionate about arts education and has worked in Middle and High School Theatre and Choral Education for 22 years, with classrooms in TN, NC, and FL. In the Fall of 2024, she was the UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts Community Engagement Grant recipient for her Sensory-Friendly Theatre development and Shakespeare for All practicum work with the neurodivergent Core Members of Peacehaven Farm in Whitsett, NC. Over the years, she has received multiple awards, including 2022 ESU Scholar for studying at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, the 2022 Arts Fellowship Orlando recipient for Musical Theatre playwriting, and the Dr. Phillips Center Applause Award for Outstanding Director and Musical Director in 2019 and 2020 in Orlando, FL, as well as Disney’s Candlelight Processional High School Honor Choir. She is proud to share this world premiere play with you!

Kalib Cormican headshot (Mercry Watson)

Kalib D. Cormican (Mercy Watson) is a senior BA Drama major with a minor in Interdisciplinary Art & Social Practice. He is originally from Marion, North Carolina. This is his third time acting in a UNCG season production. Other acting credits include Rough Magic (Ariel), Dogs Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead (Beethoven), Everybody (Mind/Evil), Swing of the Sea(Eggs), and Twelfth Night (Sebastian). This past fall, he directed a production of Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons by Sam Steiner. At last year’s Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), he devised and performed Momento, an ensemble-built piece, and received a Devised Theatre Initiative Certificate of Engagement. When he’s not acting, Kalib enjoys directing and building stories from different perspectives. Outside of his busy schedule, he adores spending time with loved ones, traveling, and playing Pokémon. This process has been amazing, and he is very grateful to the cast, crew, designers, Lizzy, and everyone involved for making this possible. Xavier Devault (Train Conductor/Delivery Person/Gaston)

Xavier Devault (Train Conductor/Delivery Person/Gaston) is so excited to be a part of the world premiere production of The Lincoln Sisters of Deckawoo Drive! Xavier is a second-year BA Drama major here at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a minor in American Sign Language. Xavier has always loved working with Lizzy, their amazing director. Xavier is not a stranger to children’s theater, with some of their past credits being Agatha Trunchbull, Matilda Jr. (Applause Cary Youth Theatre), and Allan Adale, The Somewhat True Tale of Robinhood (Applause Cary Youth Theatre). Xavier has taken many positions working with children, as a Special Needs Camp Counselor with a local church and a Child Supervisor for CAPA (Carolina Academy of Performing Arts) for many summers. Some of Xavier’s Past Credits here on campus have been Megaera in Rough Magic and Usher in Everybody. Xavier would like to thank his parents for always being amazing supporters in their life. Sophie Ellenberger (Baby Lincoln) headshot

Sophie Ellenberger (Baby Lincoln) is a third-year BA Drama major with a minor in Media Studies. Some of her previous credits include acting in the New Play Festival, assistant director on Rough Magic, and wardrobe supervisor on Discovering Blackness. Sophie is thrilled to be making her UNCG mainstage debut in this wonderful production! Sophie would like to thank Lizzy Brannan, her stage managers, and her incredible cast for all their work.

Ela Howard (Stella/George US) headshot

Ela Howard (Stella/George US) is a first-year transfer student pursuing a BA in Drama and double minoring in Dance and Music. She was recently featured in Here We Are at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, as well as Trap (Kenosha) and We Will Rock You (Scaramouche) in the Northern Virginia area. Ela would like to thank her mentors, friends, and family for their support—and of course, the wonderful cast and crew who made this production possible.

Josiah Johnson (Frank/Man in Fur Hat) headshot

Josiah Johnson (Frank/Man in Fur Hat) is a 3rd year BA Drama major with a minor in Music Composition. He is excited to take part in bringing The Lincoln Sisters of Dekawoo Drive to life. Other acting credits include Father/Patterson in 8 Minutes Left, Fred Washington in The Drums of Sweetwater, Austin in The Other Room, Lazar Wolf in Fiddler on the Roof, and Moose in Crazy For You. When not acting, he enjoys reading, gaming, and playing chess. He’d like to thank God, along with his friends and family, who’ve continued to support him in his endeavors.

Nia Johnson (Mrs. Watson) is a second-year BFA Acting major with minors in Business and Event Planning. She is incredibly excited to be performing with the cast of The Lincoln Sisters of Deckawoo Drive! Nia has recently appeared in the upcoming UNCG film Uncharted Potential. She would like to give a big thanks to God, her family, friends, and professors for supporting and pushing her to be the best version of herself.

Caleb LaPointe (u/s Mercy, Frank, Train Conductor) is a junior BA Drama major at UNC Greensboro from High Point, NC, with a minor (soon to be double major) in Media Studies. This is his first official role in a UNCG production. He previously participated in UNCG’s first-ever New Play Festival last academic year and hopes to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, with a particular interest in voice acting. Samantha A McInturff (Stella/Sheila/Gladys) Samantha is ecstatic to join another production here at UNCG! She is a fourth-year BA Drama student with a minor in Media Studies. In her time here, she has been in Night of the Living Dead, Bright Precious Things (an adaptation of The Great Gatsby), EVERYBODY, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. She is beyond grateful to finish off her time at UNCG doing this show. This TYA (theatre for young audiences) performance has opened her eyes to possibly pursuing this in the future! She thanks our director, Lizzy, for an incredible time working on this production.

Mikki McKnight (Eugenia Lincoln) headshot

Mikki McKnight (Eugenia Lincoln) is elated to be apart of the ‘The Lincoln Sisters of Deckawoo Drive’ performance with this wonderful cast! Mikki is a Sophomore from Conyers, GA. Some of Mikki’s favorite past roles include: Captain Hook (Peter/Wendy), Wicked Witch (Shrek), Ouiser Boudreaux (Steel Magnolias), and Danielle Brooks (TYA; Princess Fearless). She has been lucky enough to receive training through her high school and their connections to other outside programs. Outside of theatre, she loves to find other ways to perform in clubs like the African Student Union and the Korean Student Association. Mikki would like to send thanks to her loving and supportive family!

Jo Ramseur (George) headshot

Jo Ramseur (George) is a 3rd year BA Drama Major with minors in Business and Theatre Management. She is very excited to be a part of this semester’s Theatre for Young Audiences touring company of The Lincoln Sisters, as they are very passionate about arts education and exposing young minds to the arts. With her degree she plans to one day open her own children’s theatre company, giving accessible artistic opportunities to less fortunate children and teens. Salei Seisay (u/s Eugenia, Baby, Mrs.Watson) is a sophomore BFA Acting major also minoring in Media Studies, and she is so excited to be working on this year’s TYA show with this amazing cast. Production Crew

Moses Goldberg, Playwright

Moses Goldberg (Playwright) retired after 25 years as producing director of Stage One: The Louisville Children’s Theatre and is now working as a freelance director, teacher and playwright. He has directed professionally at theatres from Washington to Florida, including one of the first US/Soviet exchanges at Moscow’s famed Taganka Theatre in 1988. More than 25 of his plays have been produced professionally, and 16 of them have been published. His book of essays, TYA: Essays on Theater for Young Audiences, was published in 2006, and his 1974 textbook, Children’s Theatre: A Philosophy and a Method, has been used in many of the nation’s colleges and universities. Goldberg received the 1990 Charlotte B. Chorpenning Cup and was honored with the 2002 Kentucky Governor’s Award in the Arts and the 2005 Medallion of the Children’s Theater Foundation of America.

Luca Jackson (Assistant Costume Designer) is excited to be working on The Lincoln Sisters of Deckawoo Drive. This production marks his first time serving in the role of Assistant Costume Designer. Luca is currently pursuing a BFA in Design and Technical Production with a concentration in Costume Design. His most recent work includes Sweeney Todd at UNCG, where he served as a costume artisan, and The Dinner Party through Johnston Community College’s Jag Theatrics Club, where he worked as Costume Designer. Luca is grateful for the opportunity to continue growing as a designer and collaborator and is thrilled to contribute to this production. 

LaPean, Kaylee headshot

Kaylee La Pean (Production Stage Manager) is a third-year BFA in Design and Technical Production major, concentrating in Stage Management as well as Wigs, Hair, and Makeup. Her recent UNCG credits include serving as Production Stage Manager for New Play Festival 2025 as well as an Assistant Stage Manager for both Everybody and Much Ado About Nothing. This spring, Kaylee is honored to be one of only twelve young professionals selected for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Stage Management Mentorship Program. She extends her gratitude to God, her family, and her friends for their unwavering support as she strives to achieve her dreams. Kaylee is now thrilled to welcome you to the world of Deckawoo Drive and urges you to find the music in your life. Enjoy the show! 

Rock Lee

Lee Rock (Sound Design)  is a BFA Design and Technical production student at UNCG. During their time here at UNCG they have worked as an assistant stage manager on Much Ado About Nothing, an electrician on Everybody, and the scenic designer on ReformED. Lee is incredibly grateful for all the support and mentorship they have received from everyone involved in the show. Extra special thanks to Lizzy Brannan and David Greenberg for a fun production process!

Jayveon Southerland (Assistant Stage Manager) is grateful to be a part of another production here at UNCG. He is a senior BA Drama major with a minor in Media Studies.
