Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band welcomes faculty artist Eric Willie for a program spanning centuries and styles, from the festive energy of Gervasoni and the expressive lyricism of Bach to a new work by Sekhon. The concert closes with H. Owen Reed’s colorful “La fiesta mexicana,” a celebrated portrait of the sights, sounds, and spirit of a Mexican festival.

Wind Ensemble

The UNCG Wind Ensemble brings bold sounds, vivid colors, and compelling musical storytelling to the 36th Annual Carolina Band Festival and Conductors Conference. Featuring guest conductors and a UNCG faculty sextet, the performance showcases works by Paul Dooley, Roger Dickerson, Shuying Li, Gabriela Ortiz, and John Mackey.
