Rahsaan Barber has set out on a singular path of musical excellence in performance, composition, education, and entrepreneurship. In addition to working as a professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Rahsaan enjoys a performance career that encompasses an ever-expanding range of musical styles, including jazz, blues, funk, classical, fusion, soul, Latin, and world music.
Adam Frey is associate professor of euphonium at the University of North Georgia and artist affiliate at Emory University. As a major ambassador of the euphonium, Adam has more than one hundred and twenty works that have been composed or specifically arranged for him.
Praised by "The Saxophonist" for his “effortless expression and facile technique,” Dr. Young maintains an active career as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator. He has performed and recorded with such esteemed ensembles and artists as the PRISM Quartet, The Crossing, Chris Potter, Ravi Coltrane, and Uri Caine. Dr. Robert Young is professor of saxophone in the UNCG School of Music.
Garrett Klein (professor of trumpet), Abigail Pack, (professor of horn), and Marya Fancey (professor of organ) perform a concert of works for organ and brass.

The Symphony Orchestra and Student Artist Competition third prize winner Cro Trenczer present an evocative program featuring Rimsky-Korsakov's "Capriccio espagnol," the Haydn Cello Concerto, and Respighi's stately tone poem, "Pines of Rome."
The Wind Ensemble will be joined by contemporary music trailblazers Hub New Music and composer Gala Flagello. Currently based in Detroit, the ensemble’s name is inspired by its founding city of Boston’s reputation as a hub of innovation.
Founded in 2021, Calypsus Brass is a professional chamber ensemble performing new works recitals, creating high-level professional recordings for composers, and working with chamber musicians at all levels. Calypsus Brass is committed to prioritizing recording and performing works of historically marginalized composers to uplift the highest quality of music.
The Concert Band is joined by UNCG professor of clarinet Dr. Luke Ellard for a program of works by Nelhýbel, Specht, Blackshaw, Williams, Day, and Chance.

For nearly 40 years after Count Basie's passing, his orchestra continues to sell out shows worldwide, keeping his legacy alive. Led by Scotty Barnhart, this 18-time Grammy-winning ensemble has performed for royalty, starred in films, and played every major jazz festival. Featuring some of jazz’s greatest soloists, the Count Basie Orchestra delivers the timeless swing and blues that made Basie an American icon.
