Spartan Jazz Collective: The Music of Roy Hargrove

This collaborative faculty-student ensemble highlights the next generation of jazz talent, with students taking the lead in arranging, rehearsing, and performing under the mentorship of the UNCG jazz faculty. Known for his soulful sound and his ability to bridge tradition with modern styles like hip-hop and R&B, Roy Hargrove’s music continues to inspire—and this performance promises fresh, vibrant interpretations that honor his legacy.

Brass Day
UNCG School of Music 100 McIver St, Greensboro, NC, United StatesJoin us for an all-day event for middle and high school brass players. Students will participate in a large brass and percussion ensemble on the final concert, with rehearsals, masterclasses and clinics led by UNCG faculty throughout the day. Registration will include a t-shirt and lunch for all participants. Vendors will include Moore Music Co., Greg Black Mouthpieces, Tuba Exchange, B&F Repairs, and others.
