Featuring works by Silvestre Revueltas, Paul Hindemith, and Darius Milhaud, the program explores modernism’s cultural influences, rhythmic vitality, and vibrant orchestral color, with faculty violist Scott Rawls appearing as featured soloist.

School of Music faculty artist Stephanie Ycaza presents the chamber music of composer Barbara York (1949–2020). An acclaimed soloist, chamber musician, and founding member of Calypsus Brass, Ycaza is recognized for her advocacy of new music, works by women composers, and innovative programming for tuba and euphonium.
The Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program celebrates jazz legend and High Point native John Coltrane with a semester-long tribute beginning with Jazz Ensembles I and II. Faculty artist Garrett Klein presents a recital highlighting the brilliance and versatility of the trumpet. An internationally recognized performer and educator, Klein serves as Associate Professor of Trumpet at UNC Greensboro and Principal Trumpet of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. He is recognized for his distinguished performing career and advocacy for new music.
