CVPA Venues: Performance, Rehearsal, and Learning Spaces

The College of Visual and Performing Arts offers students, faculty, and the community state-of-the-art spaces for performances, exhibitions, rehearsals, creative work, and exploration. Visit the pages below for descriptions, images, and parking information.

School of Art

The Maud Gatewood Studio Arts Center (STAC) is 99,000 square feet and it houses the School of Art and Interior Architecture Department. The School of Art is located on the first three floors in the Gatewood Studio Arts Center.

School of Dance spaces

School of Dance

The School of Dance is housed in the Mary Channing Coleman building. It has seven studios that function as classrooms, rehearsal and performance spaces, as well as a computer lab, dance locker and dressing rooms, a green room, video archive, costume shop, and an in-house box office.

School of Music Spaces, UNCG Auditorium

School of Music

UNCG’s School of Music features premier venues, including the 1,642-seat UNCG Auditorium, the 350-seat Tew Recital Hall, and the intimate 130-seat Organ Recital Hall.

School of Theatre

UNCG’s School of Theatre offers three distinct spaces: the 409-seat Taylor Theatre, the 140-seat Pam and David Sprinkle Theatre, and the grand UNCG Auditorium with 1,642 seats. These venues support everything from fully staged productions to intimate studio showcases.
