Academic Technology Support
Get Ready for Fall with ITS Tech Workshops
UNCG Information Technology Services (ITS) is offering a series of helpful workshops throughout August to support faculty as they prepare for the Fall 2025 semester. Sessions like the Canvas Crash Course and Smart Start: Canvas Shortcuts are designed to boost your confidence with instructional tools and streamline your course setup. Whether you’re new to campus or just need a refresher, these trainings offer a quick and supportive way to engage with campus technology.

Panopto Retirement
UNCG will retire Panopto as a campus service on December 31, 2025, as part of an effort to streamline technology, reduce costs, and make fuller use of existing Microsoft 365 tools. Beginning in Fall 2025, Canvas Studio, OneDrive, and Clipchamp will serve as the recommended platforms for creating, storing, editing, and sharing course-related video content.
ITS Panopto Retirement Plan
Support is available for instructional design, course development, classroom technology training, media production, Canvas issues, and technology tools relevant to teaching and research in the arts. Visit the Learning Technology website for a full overview of available services, including instructional consultations and request forms. Use the 6-TECH self-service portal (FIX IT) to submit detailed requests or report issues—this ensures the request reaches the appropriate ITS team as quickly as possible.
Classroom Technology Technical Support
UNCG Information Technology Services (ITS) maintains classroom technology support. For assistance with technology equipment in the classroom press the help button located on the black box of every installed teaching station to speak with a member of ITS. Provide them with as detailed a description as possible and they will be able to assist you further to resolve your problem. View the ITS Classroom Technology – Support page.
