Dr. Maria Lim and four Art Education Student Presenters will attend the annual North Carolina Art Education Association Conference in Winston Salem, Oct. 6-9, 2016. Lim will present best practice studies about Undergraduate Research Initiative and Identity Classroom Projects. She also collaborates with two UNCG graduated art teachers, Heather Ellington (Kiser Middle School) and Johanna Ioerger (Rocky Mountain Middle School) for Identity Classroom Projects discussing possibilities for the significant connection between teacher education curriculum and public school classroom, as well as its implication. Art Education student attendees Robert Rose, Ivy Graham, Rachel Harrison, and Scarlet Jovin-Fisher will present a community outreach mural project as a professional development practice and relevant case studies for an art educational research project.
