Marcus Printup
Marcus Printup, trumpet with UNCG Jazz Ensemble I Marcus Printup (trumpet) was born and raised in Conyers, Georgia. His first musical experiences were hearing the fiery gospel music his parents sang in church. While attending the University of North Florida on a music scholarship, he won the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Trumpet competition. Student Artist Competition Final Round
The UNCG School of Music Student Artist Competition provides an annual forum for exceptional student performers to audition for the opportunity to appear in concert with the University Symphony Orchestra. Two to three student winners are normally selected for this honor. The final round is open to the public.

Known for the warmth and conviction of his performances, pianist Walter Aparicio explores issues of cultural background and identity through his concerts and workshops. Much of his programming includes music that directly references elements of dance, language and folk traditions. Walter Aparicio is currently on the faculties of Piano Works in Progress (NY & Vermont) and the Manhattan School of Music (Pre-College Division).
