Vocal Arts Day choir performing in Recital Hall

Note: Vocal Arts Day has been postponed. Please stay tuned for future updates.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro Vocal Arts Day is a one day choral/vocal experience for students currently in grades 9 through 12. Students gain valuable skills through three key components: rehearsing and performing with the UNCG Men's and Women's Glee Clubs, vocal masterclasses with UNCG faculty, and observing solo performances by current UNCG students. This close interaction with the faculty and students at UNCG provides invaluable opportunities for growth which can be applied to both solo and ensemble singing. The day culminates in an open performance with the Men's and Women's Glee Clubs, Spartones, and Sapphires. The fee for participating students is $30 and includes vocal workshops, lunch in the UNCG dining hall, dinner, and all music.

The Choral Directors Workshop is a workshop for middle and high school choir directors, as well as choral music education students. Sessions on rehearsal techniques, vocal pedagogy and stamina, and conducting will be offered by UNCG faculty. The registration fee for all participating directors is $30 which includes the workshop fee, lunch in the UNCG dining hall, and all materials.
