DESCRIPTION:Join the School of Art for the annual Iron Pour! \n\n\n\nThe UNCG School of Art’s Annual Iron Pour will be held April 25 starting at noon with demonstrations and art activities. The iron pour will go from 3-6pm in the foundry yard of the Gatewood Building. \n\n\n\nIt will be a day full of activities and events: Art sales\, scratch blocks\, merchandise for purchase. Demonstrations from current students and alumni across all disciplines—including animation \, ceramics\, photography\, print \, and art education. \n\n\n\nBring a friend – or two – and experience all the great fun at the S! \n\n\n\nAttendance is FREE but bring cash to purchase art or to create your own masterpiece.

DESCRIPTION:Join the School of Art at UNCG as we welcome Steven M. Cozart to the Gatewood Gallery. This exhibition will be open February 19 – March 20th with a Reception and Artist Talk on February 19. \n\n\n\nSteven M. Cozart is a highly accomplished artist-scholar and documentarian whose passion for Painting and drawing endures despite his colorblindness. His body of figurative work is deeply rooted in his personal experiences and introspections\, with a thematic focus on race and identity in Black America. Through thoughtful and deliberate use of symbolic objects in his imagery\, Cozart addresses the complexities and nuances of stereotypes affecting black men and women\, especially as they exist within the black community itself. \n\n\n\nTo read more about Steven M.
