High School Piano and Organ Day is scheduled for Saturday, January 18th, 2020 at UNCG. Keyboard faculty from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro will offer master classes to high school piano and organ students during the thirteenth annual iteration of the event.

The event, which runs from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., will feature classes taught by organ professor Dr. André Lash and piano professors Dr. John Salmon, Dr. Annie Jeng, and Dr. Andrew Willis.

The day will be bookended by two concerts in the Music Building’s Organ Hall. Faculty members will give a recital at 9:00 a.m.; selected students will culminate the day with a recital at 3:00 p.m. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

High School Piano and Organ Day gives students an opportunity to grow as musicians, learning from faculty and fellow participants, and also to get a taste of life on a college campus.

The annual High School Piano and Organ Day is an important outreach to students who might be considering the music major in college. This day is an opportunity for the students to meet faculty and interact with other keyboard students in a master class environment.

The registration fee for High School Piano and Organ Day is $25.00 for students, which includes lunch and refreshments.  Teachers and family members are invited to attend free of charge and can join us for lunch at the Fountain View Dining Hall for $9.70 per person.  Register online below.  The registration deadline is Wednesday, January 15, 2020.  Please plan to pay the registration fee by check or cash on site January 18, 2020; online payments are not accepted at this time.
