The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Performance Studies (Performance Certificate) offers talented musicians the opportunity to pursue focused studies in their major instrument while simultaneously offering the opportunity to further develop the skills needed for careers as performing artists.

Students study with acclaimed artist-faculty in private lessons, repertoire classes, and chamber music coachings. These experiences are enhanced by elective offerings in career development, music studies, or ensemble performance.

Requirements

Private Lessons – 8 credit hours
Elective* – 3 credit hours
Recital – 1 credit hour
TOTAL 12 credit hours

* Elective credits may be satisfied through participation in a large ensemble, chamber music, or courses in music studies, literature, or pedagogy.
