Taylor and Hudson

Dear 2018 UNCG Clarinet Day Participants,

Due to the imminent approach of Hurricane Florence and the official campus closure of UNCG this week, our Clarinet Day has necessarily been rescheduled for Saturday, September 29 (8:30am-5:30pm). Please plan to join us that day if you are able!

All that we had planned will now happen that day, and thankfully our terrific guest artist Deborah Bish from Florida State University was able to make room in her schedule to join us on the new date! You can still expect a day of top-level workshops, performances, vendors, clarinet choir, and masterclasses on-campus at UNCG, and we sincerely hope you will still be able to join us.

For registered participants, we will issue refunds if you cannot attend our rain date, or you can pre-register for next year’s Clarinet Day (Fall 2019) and roll your registration fee forward. Please let us know what to do with your registration by filling out the following (very short!) form. We will be accepting requests for refunds through Friday, September 21. Triad Stage will process any refunds after September 29 and so they need to know the name and email address of the person who paid (not necessarily the participant). Please forward this email to that person, if this applies to you.

We are so sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Please stay safe in the dangerous weather, and we look forward to seeing as many of you as are able on September 29.

Happy practicing,

Andy Hudson and Anthony Taylor

Auditioning For Success, September 29, 2018

Please join UNCG clarinet faculty Dr. Anthony Taylor and Dr. Andy Hudson for our upcoming Clarinet Day “Auditioning For Success,” focused on the 2019 High School All-District and All-State clarinet and bass clarinet audition materials. It will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018, and will feature special guest artist Dr. Deborah Bish, Associate Professor of Clarinet from Florida State University, and a day filled with fun clarinet activities, including performances, audition prep classes, exhibits and vendors, and clarinet choir. Though some of our presentations are focused on all-district and all-state auditions for high school students, community members are welcome to participate!

Registration (fee of $25) includes access to all UNCG Clarinet Day events and recitals, a Clarinet Day T-Shirt, and snacks and coffee throughout the day. Lunch will be in groups or on your own (UNCG students will also lead walking excursions to several nearby restaurants). All details and the most current information can be found at this website.

Your achievement of making all-District or all-State is one step toward further successes!
