Admissions Process - Music

Applications to UNCG must be made through and accepted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions or The Graduate School. We encourage you to apply in the fall before your audition, though you may audition before you've been accepted.
All prospective undergraduate students, and graduate students who wish to be considered for a degree in performance, must successfully complete a live audition in front of studio faculty specializing in your instrument or voice. Complete the online request for audition at https://vpa.uncg.edu/prospective/apply.
Prospective graduate students in Music Education, Music Composition, and Music Theory should visit https://vpa.uncg.edu/prospective/apply for information on admission requirements beyond those of the Graduate School.

Parents of prospective undergraduate students are encouraged to attend the audition day. There will be opportunities to ask questions about the admissions process, financial aid, housing, etc.

If you are dedicated to your craft and eager to do something bigger with music, consider joining the community at UNCG that values your passion. We'll help you bridge your passion for music with a lifetime of professional purpose.
