Cross-listing Your Courses In Canvas

What is Cross-listing in Canvas? Cross-listing allows you to move section enrollments from individual courses and combine them into one course. This feature is helpful for instructors who teach several sections of the same course and only want to manage course data in one location. Instructors can create assignments/assessments for individual sections or all sections and can also choose to communicate with all sections or individual sections in their course. From Zoom: Starting July 19th, Zoom will require that all meetings have a Passcode or a Waiting Room enabled.  We have designed these security measures to give you control over your meeting security options while keeping the join experience as frictionless as possible.

New Canvas Features

New Canvas features have been enabled by UNCG ITS as of May 15, 2020. More information from UNCG ITS: Improved Rich Content Editor (RCE) The RCE is used to add and format content in Announcements, Assignments, Discussions, Quizzes, and the Syllabus. The improvements to the RCE include the following new features and functions:
  • The toolbar has a condensed, more intuitive look.
  • The content sidebar only displays when linking to other parts of Canvas, accessing Canvas files, or accessing uploaded media.
  • Toolbar menus are grouped by common icons and interactions.
  • The RCE expands to the full width of the browser.
