Schedule

Registration and Welcome:

7:30am – 8:00am – Alumni will register in the atrium of the Weatherspoon Art Museum Building. We will have a coffee/tea station for early arrivals. Registration will close at 9am.

8:00am – 9:00am – Vendor Exhibitions – Once registered, attendees will be invited to visit a variety of booths with information regarding education resources offered by the College of Visual and Performing Arts

9:00am – 9:45am – Welcome by the College of Visual and Performing Arts

(9:45am-10:00am Transition)

Master Class Session #1

10:00am – 11:00am- Alumni will separate into four different master classes that cater to the four arts disciplines. UNCG arts education faculty will facilitate some workshops while others will be led by alumni, art specialist, or program faculty. Each session will provide meaningful material that can be utilized in the classroom. This conference will engage alumni with newer content that addresses the alumni as professionals in the educational field.

11:15am – 12:15pm– Alumni will move to a close location for their second workshop in which they will experience new content. Workshop listings will be available prior to the conference.

Luncheon

12:30pm – 2:00pm – Alumni will gather together in the Alumni House and have a delicious, catered lunch. Alumni will have time to converse with their fellow alumni. We will then have a formal address by the Dean as well as a special keynote speaker.

“Choose Your Own Adventure” Time

2:00 – 3:00 – We invite participants to enjoy “choose your own adventure” time in which they can explore new spaces on campus. View Options

Master Class Session #2

3:00pm – 4:00pm- Alumni will transition to their third master class in which they will engage in a third session that will provide further variety to the content they have already explored.

4:15pm – 5:15pm – Alumni will travel to a close location where there will be a fourth and final workshop.

5:30pm – 6:00pm – Closing Remarks

Program “Pay-Your-Way” Dinner

6:00 – 7:30 – Program faculty and staff will host dinners at local establishments where program alumni can enjoy a meal and catch up with their faculty and peers.

Collage

7:30 – 10:30pm – We invite alumni to cap off the day by attending the highly anticipated and enjoyable Collage performance. Alumni will purchase these tickets separately.
