Yilin Wang

Yilin Wang is an MFA student and Graduate Assistant in the School of Dance who comes from Harbin, China. She holds a BFA degree in Dance Choreography from Harbin Normal University. Her research integrates Chinese dance elements into contemporary dance choreographic structures, reflecting the different inner world of dancers expressed in various ways through a Chinese aesthetic. She has also choreographed and performed for the UNCG Chinese Spring Festival and taught at Greensboro Chinese School. Her choreographic work Phone Freak has been nominated for the Beijing Dance Festival. She was also a music editor, photographer, and dancer in the dance drama That Year in Taipei. Yilin performed various Chinese dances at the Confucius Institute’s Cultural Exchange Events in London at Lancaster University in 2017.
