Teresa Cunningham Transou

Teresa Cunningham is the Visual Resources Curator for the School of Art. She comes to UNCG from West Virginia where she completed her A.A. in Commercial Design at Fairmont State University and her B.A. and M.A. in Art History at West Virginia University with a thesis dealing with the symbolic vocabulary of the British artist William Blake. Teresa’s work with the department’s digital database, MDID, has been integral to the instruction of Art History courses at UNCG as well as fostering a 21st Century approach to teaching application in the visual realm. By bridging the past to the present, Teresa Cunningham is expanding the digital art historical collection with the help of work-study and graduate students. It is the continuing goal of the Visual Resources Library and its Curator to provide visual archival materials for faculty and student use, in order to facilitate the highest possible quality educational experience.
