Stephany Rayburn

Stephany Rayburn is an artist and educator whose work celebrates collaborative processes as well as the intersection between theater and dance. Stephany earned her BA in Theatre from Wake Forest University, focusing on directing and costuming. She earned her MFA in Dancefrom the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2015, where she also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and co-President of the Association of Graduate Students in Dance. Stephany has performed in many productions, most recently with Ballet San Antonio as the Nurse in Edwaard Liang’s Romeo and Juliet. Stephany’s choreography has been featured at many schools and festivals, most notably in the Independent School Association of the Southwest’s Fine Arts Festival and in Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s production of Pride and Prejudice, adapted by Jon Jory. In 2018, Stephany served as the Artist in Residence for the San Antonio Dance Umbrella where she created “Dance: A Story for All” for San Antonio Dances, a concert celebrating the city of San Antonio’s Tricentennial. Currently, Stephany serves as the Dance Program Administrator at Saint Mary’s Hall, an independent school in San Antonio, TX.
