Katie (KT) Williams is an MFA student and Graduate Assistant in the School of Dance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. KT holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received the Donald Carducci Memorial Scholarship Award for overall excellence in dance performance. Originally from Oak Park, IL, she has spent her time performing, choreographing and collaborating on various dance projects in the greater Chicago area. Her research interests include exploring the connections between cognitive function and movement, as well as variations in the feminine experience. KT is also interested in incorporating somatic practices in her pedagogical approach to maintaining a sustainable dancing body.
